The western part of Poland’s Carpathian Mountains in a series of maps from PPWK covering popular tourist areas with recommended sightseeing routes, grading for places worth visiting, tourist facilities, etc. plus, in most titles, street plans of main towns and resorts.

Each region’s road network, shown a base with relief shading and spot heights, includes local country roads, indicates driving distances on many minor roads, and, where appropriate, gradients and border crossings. Scenic roads plus several recommended sightseeing routes are highlighted. Railway lines are shown with stations.

Places worth visiting are highlighted and graded, and a very wide range of symbols mark various cultural and historical monuments, sport and recreational facilities, national parks and nature reserves, caves, etc, as well as tourist accommodation: hotels, campsites, youth hostels, mountain shelters, agritourism farms, etc. The maps have latitude and longitude grid at intervals of 10’ Map legend includes English.

On the reverse most titles have street plans of the region’s main cities and holiday resorts, annotated with accommodations, places of interest, etc. Also included are diagrams of the sightseeing routes highlighted on the map. Brief descriptions provided here are in Polish only.

In this title: coverage extends from Cieszyn on the Czech border eastwards to Nowy Sacz and Piwniczna Zdrój, and from Kraków southwards to Poprad in Slovakia, to include the Tatra Mountains National Park on both sides of the border, the main Beskidy ranges, Gorce and Pieniny. On the reverse are plans of Zakopane, Szczawnica, Kroscienko nad Dunajcem, Ustron, Rabka Zdrój, Wisla, Szczyrk, Nowy Targ, Nowy Sacz, Wadowice, and Poprad, Starý Smokovec and Ružomberok in Slovakia, plus diagrams of nine sightseeing routes.
