Zakros - Vai area in a series of contoured, GPS compatible hiking maps of Crete from Anavasi, printed waterproof and tear-resistant paper. Topography is shown by contour lines at 20m intervals, hill-shading, and spot heights. Landscape/land-use variations are indicated, e.g. forest, orchard, vineyard. Footpaths and isolated huts are clearly marked. Other details include springs and intermittent streams, caves, marinas, hotels, beaches, cultural landmarks including churches and archaeological sites, etc.

Place names are shown in both Greek and Latin script. The maps have a UTM grid and latitude and longitude margin ticks at 1´ intervals. Map legend includes English.

On the reverse of some sheets is a simplified version of the same map without the topographic detail, simply highlighting roads and waymarked hiking routes, including the E4.

In this title: part of the eastern extremity of the island, an area measuring approx. 22km N-S x 16km E-W, approximately centred on Maza Gorge and extending to the east-facing coast.
